Co-Responders

For March 2026, we have two Responders of the Month! Firstly (pictured left), Tobias Tien who was nominated for his consistent commitment to the scheme and the staggering number of hours he has spent responding to patients in his local community. Thank you Tobias! Secondly (pictured right), our CPD Lead Ethan Beckford was nominated for his fantastic work organising the most recent level three training weekend. Thank you for your commitment and hard work Ethan!

Recently, we were fortunate enough to host a CPD session with University of Nottingham's Sign Soc which led a teaching session on British Sign Language (BSL) and it's importance in medical emergencies. We were also fortunate enough to be taught some key sign to allow us to better communicate with our deaf patients. Thank you UoN Sign Soc for hosting this and thank you to Ethan and Harry (CPD Team) for organising this!

We are excited to announce the addition of two members to our wider SLT team to support the UoN Co-Responders as we look to continually develop the scheme for our members and the patients we serve. Harry Crawford - CPD Assistant As a 2nd-year Graduate Entry-Medicine Student, Harry joins wider SLT as CPD Assistant to work closely with CPD Lead Ethan Beckford to deliver high quality, relevant CPD sessions to our team of responders.
